Kirkwall BID – Girls’ Day Out @ Kirkwall Town Centre
Oct 2 @ 12:00 pm – 5:00 pm

Grab your gals (or even your guy!) for the Kirkwall BID Girls’ Day Out in partnership with CLAN- Sunday 2nd October.

Take a break from your hectic schedule and come along to the Girls’ Day Out on Sunday 2nd October for some shopping, fun with friends and even a bit of well-deserved pampering. Kirkwall has treats in store for you!  This year we are teaming up with CLAN to raise money and awareness for this fantastic charity which is close to so many of us here in Orkney.  We have a fantastic day lined up with live music, and dancing from Just Dance, not to mention all the fantastic offers from businesses.

We will also be turning the toon PURPLE for the Girls’ Day Out and we would like to invite you to wear an item of purple clothing on the day to show your support.

Whether you’re looking for cosy comfort with a classic knit, or a bit of sparkle for a night out, the new autumn/winter clothing collections in the shops will give you lot of options. To help with that winter workout regime, you can try the latest sportswear, or the essential waterproofs and woollens for those winter dog walks. There is also a wide choice of jewellery, including the launch of exciting new Orkney designs, cosmetics and perfumes – everything a girl needs right here in Kirkwall!

As every girls knows, shopping is thirsty work, so you’ll need to break for coffee and cake (or tea and scones). There will be special Girls’ Day Out menus and offers, including gin tasting and free fizz!

Kirkwall’s shops offer fine wines and spirits, and a huge variety of culinary treats, condiments and confectionary, and there will be free food and drink tastings on the day. Of course you can also buy music, games and toys locally, which all make excellent Christmas gifts (yes, the Countdown has begun!).

You could even book a beauty treatment and indulge in a bit of pampering, before winding down with cocktails and an evening meal.

The Girls’ Day Out is the ideal opportunity to see what the local shops have on offer this autumn, and you’ll be amazed by all the special offers on the day and the variety of goods available on your doorstep.

For the latest information on what individual businesses will be doing, check out their Facebook pages. More details to follow!!

To enter the competition to WIN a £50 Girls’ Day Out Gift Voucher see the Kirkwall BID Facebook page – post pinned to the top of the page.  For the terms and conditions of the prize Click Here.
