On The Street With… The Linen Cupboard

We’re delighted to welcome Heather Robertson of the Linen Cupboard for this edition of ‘OTSW’.

The Linen Cupboard is located on Albert Street, selling a large selection of household textiles, curtains, towels, bedding, cushion pads, rugs, curtain poles, cushions, bath mats and more!

They are regular stockists of the hugely popular Orla Kiely designs, with bedding and curtains available in stock.  With prices cheaper than some of the big online stockists, and some great customer service available in-store, you’d be silly not to check out the Linen Cupboard before you look elsewhere.  Heather believes the most important things to do to keep your customers happy are to always “make them welcome and be helpful”.

Heather has worked there for ten and a half years, and she tells us that she loves helping customers to choose and co-ordinate items for their home.  “Trying to compete with the larger multiple companies is always a challenge for independent businesses” Heather tells us, “especially with rates, utilities and waste costs being increased.”

The Brig Larder is one of Heather’s favourite shops in the BID area, where she loves to purchase fresh meat and fish.

Heather’s favourite thing about the BID Area is the winter lighting, especially the Big Tree!  We have to agree, it certainly adds something extra special to our Town centre!

Pop in to see the lovely ladies in the Linen Cupboard at 54 Albert Street, Monday to Saturday.
