For Arts Sake started supporting the artists and makers in Orkney back in 2009. During this time we have developed our ranges of supplies and workshops.
We stock a wide range of premium art supplies which can facilitate your creative practices from painting and drawing to print and mixed media, and many others. Come and find an exciting new product that will allow you to explore a different side to your work.
We run a full range of daily workshops that are open to everyone. Beginners are especially welcome. We would encourage you to book your place as places are limited for each workshop and whilst it may be possible for you to drop-in we would hate you to be disappointed.
As a major supporter of heritage textile crafts we also stock a range of fibre and yarn from local suppliers to the wider range of vegan materials. Here you can buy the famous North Ronaldsay fibre and yarn, in the natural colours from the Mill on North Ronaldsay, through to the hand dyed feature yarns that we produce in our Dye Studio at the Hatston Space.
These fibres are supported with a full range of equipment to allow you to enjoy spinning and weaving to create unique yarns which can then be used in creating your own special tapestry and loom woven designs.

We support the local artists and makers in offering their finished goods for sale. You will find a wide range of unique handcrafted items from art works to knitwear, felted pieces and jewellery, handspun yarns and many more to tempt and delight you, offering a very special souvenir of Orkney.
