Kirkwall BID's Festive Day Out 2024

A festive themed Christmas shopping Day you won't want to miss!

Christmas is coming to town!

This event is a Shopping Day, where everyone is welcome to attend!

Come along and experience the treats and fun our local businesses will be providing on Saturday 30th November!

Music - We'll have Kaos Singing Christmas music in the BID tent outside the Bank of Scotland at 11am, 2pm and 3pm

Kids Craft - We will be offering a free design your own Christmas Jumper (Kids Craft) in the foyer of the Town Hall between 11am - 1pm - please spread the word. If you send a photo of your bairns creation to [email protected] they will be entered into a prize draw to win one of three Kirkwall Gift Cards.

Santa - We have the Rotary Club coming to do a Santa Run through the town at 11am.

Peedie Trees - There will be over 80 peedie trees beautifully decorated and on display for Saturday 30th, take part by sharing your favourites - make sure to share and tag us in your Peedie Tree photos too!

Kirkwall Christmas Tree Lighting - The Kirkwall Tree lighting will begin with Kirkwall City Pipe Band playing at 4.45pm on Broad Street. Why not do some Christmas shopping then head for a meal afterwards, we’re sure you’ll be in the Christmas spirit after our Festive Day Out!

Christmas Jumpers - We'd love to see people wearing Christmas Jumpers or other festive dress to get us all in the festive spirit - There will also be a chance to win a Kirkwall Gift Card if you email us at [email protected], or tag us @kirkwallbid in your Christmas Jumpers or Christmas outfits photos, you’ll then be entered into a prize draw to win a £50 Kirkwall Gift Card!
