Earlier in the year Kirkwall was shortlisted for the Great British High Street awards, making it to the top 6 in Scotland. We welcomed the judges and VISA Street Team in late September and were delighted to show them what Kirkwall had to offer.
Results were announced on Thursday 14th November and despite making the shortlist, it was Crickhowell in Wales that took the trophy as best high street in the UK.
We would like to thank all businesses for their enthusiasm and efforts, and thank everyone who took the time to vote for Kirkwall!
